Israel, we’re coming!” Girls’ football team of Tancheng No.1 Middle School was warmly sent off by a large crowd in Tancheng County, Linyi City, East China’s Shandong Province on March 8. After a brief see-off ceremony, the team headed for the 2018 World Schools Championship to be held in Israel.
Founded in 2009, girls’ football team of Tancheng No.1 Middle School has made brilliant achievements, taking crowns in National Summer Camp Cup in last summer, National Schools Championship in November, 2017 and Chinese Schools’ Football Association Cup in February, 2018. During her nine years of fighting in north and south, the team won five championships in provincial games in addition with raking into national top three for the third consecutive year.
Based on her good records, Ministry of Education appointed the team to take part in the coming World Schools Futsal Championship to be held in Israel from March 11 to 22.
“We’re full of spirit and confidence now. In addition to adhering our indomitable and tenacious characters, we promise to follow directions and obey commands, respect the opponents and referees. No behaviors would be allowed include breaking of discipline and damaging our national image. We vow to play our best level in skill and style in the game,” said Yao Bo, coach of the team.
